The computer, and particularly the wireless laptop, has added a new dimension to the study of poetry. Good poetry texts are supplemented by online poetry collections. Teacher assignments and lesson plans can be enriched by links to poetry resources, glossaries, annotated e-texts, and web pages which provide background material.

Our materials include activities for using the computer to publish poetry, our own poetry lessons and study questions, and links to many of the best resources online to support the study of poetry in the Middle School.

 

Poetry Study with Mrs.Mac - a full term web-based unit originally utilizing digital feedback, web resources, and printable assignments. The interactive pages will not function as is. Using this unit on a local Intranet will require downloading and reposting the pages with forms recreated using Frontpage Extensions or other forms handler. Most of the exercises can, however, be used without digital feedback (posting to e-mail or to a webpage). Please contact Least Tern if you use the materials.
