Poem 4 - Found Poems

Your teacher will introduce list poems and found poems. You may use the Response form below to post any poems which you write for the introductory lessons.

Spend 30 minutes at home collecting specific words, phrases and brand names which describe YOU.  Think of: favorites (cereal, songs, movies, TV, clothes, people), places, hobbies, things you say a lot, grades, people in your life, likes and dislikes.  List many more than you could ever use in a poem.

Decide upon the Me that you want to present in your poem. Make your own found poem which leads the reader into an understanding of YOU.   Write this by hand or word process it.  Save.

You may or may not want to rhyme.  It will partly depend upon your found words and phrases.

When you are done, copy your poem and paste it into the form below, or type it in.  Remember to identify yourself!  Press the Submit button when you are done.  Read the poems of others on the Found Poem About Me page.
