Tech Class

 

Teaching a technology class is not the same as teaching with technology. The goals of a tech class are generally more focused upon skills or IT than upon academic content. At Least Tern we do not believe that teaching skills in a context isolated from curriculum is as worthwhile as teaching the same skills from within a curricular or "real world" framework. However, we recognize that a "real school" setting often requires that the tech department teaches skills, tools, ethics and programming. We offer here support for all of these functions, with the hope that classroom teachers will expand their tech toolkit along with the students in their schools.
