Our Classroom contains lesson plans, teaching guides, study guides, online and print resources, quizzes, tests and templates that should serve as materials and examples for the Middle School (5-8) teacher wishing to integrate technologies into the study of prose, poetry, drama, grammar, vocabulary and reading. The rapid advancement of technologies available to the classroom teacher over the last seven years has made additional tools available to the teacher. A creative teacher can easily "update" any presentation activity to include iMovie or take advantage of school and state-wide networking to create shared experiences and discoveries. General resources for the integration of technology into the curriculum can be found on our Resources for Teachers.
To supplement the lessons and resources you will find here, Least Tern offers workshops specifically designed for the English classroom:
- Blog Talk - learn about and experience blogs and WIKIs
- Beyond the Book: Choosing and Using e-Texts
- Beyond Word Processing - using Word and PowerPoint in the English Classroom
- Correcting and Peer Editing with Microsoft Word
- Hyperstories with Button Talk
- Laptops in the English Classroom
